Snow Week

It’s been the winter of our weather discontent. Between record setting snow fall and Arctic temperatures I’ve been pretty much housebound for a week. The silver lining is that hibernation gave me more time to DIY.

I’ve also been feeling a little stressed out by current events so my crafts reflect my current mood. First, I decorated one of my many Dollarama totes with anti- Fascist slogans. I got a lot of compliments on it on the one day I ventured out to get groceries.

I also chain stitched a bucket hat (also from Dollarama) that I already had with an “AuntieFa” slogan.
Being house bound kind of reminds me of the Covid days. On top of crafting, we’ve also been chilling out listening to vinyl records, reading books and basically turning off the screens. It’s been a nice vacation from the constant stress of hustling for work and dealing with family stress. But soon I will be back in the fray — and I’ll be accessorized.
