Celluloid and Wood Deco Necklace
I found this Art Deco-era celluloid and wood fringed necklace for $10 in Kensington market on Monday. It dates from the 1920s or ’30s. I’ve had a few of these kinds of necklaces and this one is in the best condition I’ve ever seen. Still has the original clasp and no broken links as far as I can see. The style is also fairly forward and reminds me of pieces by the Finnish designer Aarikka.
totally love it…what’s the plans for it?
I will hoard it along with all of my other deco pieces. They are so hard to find in this condition!
