Fix It Week: Reupholstered Steelcase Chair

Near the top of my January to-do list was reupholstering my office chair — an old Steelcase sidewalk find. In fact, repairing this chair has been near the top of my fix-it list since 2009. Well you’ll be happy to know that I started this task, got about one-third of the way through and gave up. Partially because I can only puncture my thumb so many times before the fabric becomes too bloodstained and partially because I discovered that the seat required re-springing as well as re-covering. So now I’m in the market for a professional.

The fabric looks good though, right?
