Fix It Week: Blackboard
We finally made our kitchen table a more hospitable place (or as my nephew says, you can actually see the table now). This job was not so much of a “fix it” as a “just get it done, already.” The chalkboard is a sidewalk find that we used as a kitchen table for a while. The we found an Ikea table (also from the curb) which fit better and the chalkboard was shunted to the side while the wall was just a giant expanse of blankness. Eventually Gracious, Good business operations ended up taking over the whole table. It was a disaster.
So Justin and I leaned the chalkboard up against the wall and ruthlessly pared down the many jars, shopping bags and jewellery odds and ends that were cluttering up the space. Now that it’s cleaned up, you can see that there’s still much to do. But at least the path is clear now. We celebrated by making a big pasta dinner on Sunday!
