Sweet and Sour
I also visited the Value Village at Queen and Logan on Tuesday after our Covet Garden meeting, where I found this small but sexy 1980s-era Christian Dior purse for $4. It’s in excellent shape — it looks like it was never used at all and is just a little flattened from years of storage. It has a Dior logo Jacquard outer shell, a leather interior embossed “Christian Dior Made in France,” and a goldtone chain that can be adjusted to wear as a shoulder or hand bag.
I don’t often discover luxury handbags because the pricers at the VV are very label conscious and even price stuff like Michael Kors at around $15 these days. Maybe they thought it was a knock off? Anyway, it’s finds like this that are my thrift shopping heroin.
That was the sweet part. Now comes the sour. When I went to pay, the cashier asked my if I had a seniors discount cards. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
