What I Bought

Of course I bought some clothes while I was in New York. I’ll make the usual excuses: I got blisters walking around in the shoes that I brought so I had to get these shearling faux Birkenstocks so that my already bloody toes wouldn’t rub together. They were on sale at Target. Also on the clearance rack at the Tar-Jay, these Who What Wear wide legged pants and a simple black t-shirt. The t-shirt came in handy because I only brought two undershirts for three days. It’s always nice to feel fresh.

I also popped into Uniqlo because of another wardrobe malfunction: I spilled sauce on the grey sweater that I brought with me. Because I was travelling light and the weather was so cold, I needed a a replacement. I found this funnel neck on sale at Uniqlo (where, for some reason I also purchased a jumpsuit, probably because it was marked down to $9 and I have a weakness for one-pieces. I may have buyer’s remorse about the jumpsuit.

And finally, no trip to New York would be complete without a pilgramage to Flying Tiger. I finally found the iPhone projector I have been searching for for two years. Unfortunately, the projection is only as bright as one’s phone, which means my dream of being able to project scary videos on the front of our house for Halloween has died. Oh well, I can always use to trace sketches onto large canvases.
