In the last month I’ve been careless and lost a few things. We went to a thrift shop in Brampton were I got a bunch of cool items including a big sterling silver lucky horseshoe necklace but the bag that the cashier put them in ripped. I was trying to transfer my treasures into my purse while walking and I guess I wasn’t lucky at all and dropped it somewhere. And on the weekend I went to the Value Village and purchased a long heavy chain studded with glass cabochons. I don’t know where I dropped it, probably on the subway when I pulled something else out of my purse. This happens more often than I would like to admit. I should probably carry a little pouch to put small jewelry finds in.
I never even got the chance to photograph these necklaces so I drew a picture from memory.

I was super excited when I found this Mickey Mouse Cardigan at a thrift shop in Gravenhurst in August. I had been waiting patiently for the weather to be cool enough to wear it. Perhaps I was too impatient because I wore it to go to a G-Shock event. At some point I got too hot, took the cardi off and left it behind. I called the venue and they couldn’t locate it. Maybe I forgot it on the TTC. I will call the lost and found in the morning.
I guess the moral of the story is be mindful but also don’t get too freaked out if you lose something?
