Mission Accomplished

I should probably be making an archive of the clothing I’ve been rehoming rather that posting pictures of garments I’ve acquired because it would probably be more educational for me to examine the misfires in my shopping habits. But it’s much more fun to look at new stuff.
I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of basic Adidas track pants for my whole life. And I’ve bought my fair share of them. All were abandoned because I do not like the feeling of polyester fabrics. Imagine my delight when I came across these cotton trackers at the Value Village two weeks ago. And then double down on that excitement when I found this waxed cotton Adidas track jacket in a free box on the sidewalk. I haven’t had a chance to wear the windbreaker in inclement weather yet but I have my fingers crossed that it’s more breathable than my other rain coats. I hate being sweaty more than I hate getting soaked in a shower.

I have been also searching for two other items that I felt would complete my wardrobe—a boxy black polo and a flared black maxi skirt. The Internet algorithms sent me a photo of such a skirt at a chain store called Ricki’s out in Etobicoke so I hopped on the bus to check it out in person (I didn’t trust ordering online because I’m not familiar with how this store’s clothes fit). The website warned that there was only one left in stock. By the time I got there it was sold out.

There was a Walmart in the same mall so I popped in to pickup some groceries. I checked out the clothing section and saw that they had a very similar skirt but it was navy blue not black. And they had a boxy cotton/wool polo in the clearance section—long sleeves and a little heavy for summer but otherwise perfect (see above).

I also bought a ruffled top even though it was not on my list nor was it on sale. It just was. It looks nice with the skirt (see below).
