Toronto Rocks: Karen Palmer Fringe Necklace
When I used to work at Images Magazine, I was always sourcing jewellery for beauty shoots. Of course it had to be jewellery that readers could buy, so vintage was out of the question (there were no vintage resources such as Carole Tanenbaum) in the 1990s. I liked to borrow jewels from local designers over international companies because they were really good and because I like to give the little guy a break. One of my go-to resources was Karen Palmer for Chameleon. Karen was a talented designer and business person and her baubles and belts could be found in boutiques all across Canada.
They could also be found in my jewellery box. The fringed necklace pictured above is one of my all time favourites!
