Sock Eye

Went on a bit of a sick shopping spree. I had a McDonald’s gift certificate and used it to get a Happy Meal, which came with a pair of mismatched Grinch and Max socks. I don’t like Christmas but I do love the Grinch.

My friend Jessica also picked me up a pair of Marimekko x Uniqlo socks. It was the only thing left from the recent collaboration. Sidebar: I no longer have regrets for not lining up for these drops—the things I want usually turn up at the thrift shops a couple seasons later. Case in point: I picked up this jumpsuit from the Spring Summer 2021 capsule a couple of weeks ago.

Now, back to socks.

I also loaded up on these cozy, subdued hued socks at the Dollarama. They are soft and they are neither too tight or too loose and the colours seem to magically work with all of my shoes — from black to tan to purple to orange. The only problem is that they seem to disappear into the laundry void. So I make sure I pick up a pair or two when I see them.

That is all. I have a whole drawer full of socks so I also had to do a cull. White socks and tight socks went straight into the rag bag, awaiting use in future craft projects.
