A Trip To Twin City

My younger sister and I are Irish twins and nothing amuses me more than calling her my twin for the month and a half that we are the same age. Since our twin season corresponds with deeply discounted, post holiday sales, we like to celebrate by going shopping, buying ourselves clothes and saying that our purchases are our birthday presents to each other. There is usually a $30 limit. So this weekend, we went on a shopping safari. Here’s what my sister got me.
Because we went shopping in the Twin Cities (Kitchener Waterloo) we hit the big box stores. This year we were trying to shop Canadian and our most successful stop was Penningtons. My new fashion motto is that I don’t want to wear clothes that make me look skinny, I want clothes that make me look proportioned. I’ve had a similar cropped denim jacket on my wish list for a while. And I’ve had a vision of wearing flared miniskirts over wide legged pants for a while. I found the jacket and skirt in the clearance section and made this crude collage of how I’m gonna pair them with my preexisting pants.

Next stop was the Great Canadian Superstore which is selling No Name merch. I bought a T-shirt (pictured above), a sweatshirt and some socks (pictured below).

I don’t know why I’m such a sucker for merch. Why am I paying to give an evil grocery empire free advertising? But whenever there’s a no name drop I gotta have it. I already have a No Name T-shirt in yellow, a water bottle (for drinking), a towel (for drying), and a camp chair (for sitting).
