Fire in Little Hipstertown

Some bad news and good news. There was a conflagaration in our hood on Victoria Day. There was a second storey fire in the row of storefronts housing The Australian Boot Company, Deluxe and Sydney’s. Cub reporter Andrew K. talked to the staff at Sydney’s this morning. While most of the ready-to-wear stock was spared water damage, some of the bespoke fabrics were effected. And the Australian Boot Company site is reporting smoke and water damage.

The good news is that if you need a a fashion fix while the shops get cleaned up, you can shop Sydney’s and the ABC online (follow the links). All the shops will be back soon, so lend them your patronage.
