R.I.P. Will Munro
So sad to hear about the death of Will Munro. He brought so much life into Toronto’s art scene. Some remember him more as a night club impressario, what with Vazaleen and all. But I like to think of him as an artist who didn’t want to get stuck in an artist-y garrett writing grant applications. Munro reached out across and beyond the visual arts community. He made fancy underwear for The Hidden Cameras, he collaborated with designer Jeremy Laing, he co-owned The Beaver Café. As much as he was out there making his own art, he was out in the community helping others make theirs.
Will Munro will be greatly missed.
