Do Over: Frame Your Wallpaper
Yesterday, I hung wallpaper for the first time in my life. I papered our bathroom in the vintage fairy print I found at the Value Village a month ago. It was quite a chore and I still have to go back and fix a few things but overall, the room looks bigger and brighter.
After matching the very detailed print at the seams, I found myself with a few odd ends. My dad gave me some of his surplus picture frames over Thanksgiving, so I framed a remnant and hung it on the wall. I think it looks kind of cool.
I think I did one better…..I hung a frame with a shelf on it and included some majolica birds a little silk fern and a miniture picture inside on the wall…..looks real good and special…..
It looks fantastic- the framed piece too! Did you struggle as much as I did to put up your wallpaper? I don’t see any wrinkles or bumps in yours at all.
Wallpapering was horrible. The wall you see here was relatively easy and the first thing that I did. When I had to go around light fixtures and doors, things got crazy. I still have to go back and fix up a couple of things (and hang more pictures over the mistakes).
