Runway Review: Milan Ready to Wear Spring Summer 2012

Op art designs, door knocker earrings, bright colours. Cut outs and appliqués. And lot of leather. A mad mix of eras. That pretty much sums up Milan Fashion Week for me. Okay, okay. there was a return to sleek minimalism at Armani and MaxMara, etc., but my favourite looks were from Marni (pictured above) and Prada (pictured below).

I think, despite their boldness, these looks are pretty attainable. Just today I poked into Winners and saw jewel-toned pleated skirts and tops with crocheted insets.And I’m sure if you dug deep down into your old jewellery box, you have some shoulder-duster earrings begging to be worn again.
