Prescription Jewellery: Blue Lace Agate, Labradorite and Amethyst

Blue Lace Agate Necklace, Labradorite and Amethyst Pendants

As you know, I like to believe in the healing power of stones. I learned about it from The Book of Talismans, a tome that I own that belonged to my great-grandmother Ida May Hudson. Great grandma was a healer. My mom says she was always mixing up poultices and such. I also have a book of hers that identifies naturopathic herbs and such. For this reason, I keep a stash of jewellery that I call my medicine chest — stones that I use to help me feel better (along with actual medicine, of course)

That Last week I had the world’s worst cold. Okay, I’ve had worse but it left me with a painful case of laryngitis that lasted five days. So to treat that what ailed me, I wore the baubles pictured above: Blue lace agate for the throat; amethyst for the lungs and respiratory tract; and labradorite for the cold. They kinda look pretty together, too.
