Sketchtorialist: Vintage Fashion Illustrations

At one time in my life, I wanted to be a costume designer in the theatre — and I still have an affinity for illustrations of clothing styles of the past. I picked up these two post cards depicting costumes from the Commedia dell’Arte in Italy.

But I was equally captivated by the 1960s, Marimekko-esque outfits worn by Betty and Veronica in an old Archie Digest we saw at a local restaurant.
