Midweek Modness: Perli Pin
I’ve been looking for examples of German modernist jewellery for awhile now. Especially for pieces by an outfit called Perli. And I finally found one — a silver sunburst brooch with a blue glass cab!
The company was established in the 1930s in Schwabisch Gmund in Germany. After the war it became famous for its modernist designs especially for its use of enamel on silver. It’s difficult to find said pieces because they aren’t often signed (although this one is). I don’t know much more about the company, but I do adore it’s fun and colourful modernist designs. I am on the prowl for more!
