Midweek Modness: Renoir Copper Tulips
The tulips in my garden have gone now. This picture of an abstracted tulip=themed copper panel bracelet is my tribute to my bulby-beauties. It signed Renoir.
I’ve written about Renoir before. The company was started in 1946 by Jerry Fels who was also noted for his abstract wall sculptures. Renoir of California produced copper jewelry until about 1964, both under the Renoir and Matisse marks.
If only copper didn’t turn me green!
