African Art
Part two of the epic thrift shop haul. Somebody must have had friends in Africa because I came across this mini collection of beauties at the Value Village. The big prize was this amazing tureen from Ardmore Ceramics in South Africa. I won’t go into big detail here as I’m writing a more in-depth post about Ardmore Covet Garden later this month. I almost missed it myself — I had skipped the plate section, but noticed another shopper carrying some Petal Ware plates and went back to see if there were some bowls that she had missed.
Over in the knick knack section, I came across this pair of sous verre (reverse painted glass) paintings by self-taught Senegalese artist Ibrihama Kane AKA Le Negré de Gorée.
And finally, a hand-made bracelet from Tanzania (worn with another beaded bangle). I need to find a whole armload of these.

hi where can i get the final beaded bracelet with the tanzanian flag??
This is a vintage piece. Unfortunately I don’t know where to get them now.
