Station To Station

C60BFF30-5CFF-4A1F-AE51-43F13DA37A83I have done a few trades with friends from the vintage community recently. I swapped some Marimekko fabric for some watches with my pal Katya from Scandimania and I did some embroidery in exchange for a shoebox full of costume jewels to upcycle from Eric from Lucky Patina (visit their Etsy shops for super fine finds).

It has been fun repairing and remaking bits and pieces but there were a few pieces that didn’t need to be fixed. My favourites are these three station necklaces. Station refers to the spaced beads reminiscent of the stations of the cross on a rosary. This technique makes all three chains work when layered together, even though they are quite different. One is a Thai Buddha amulet suspended from a chain spaced with Rudraksha beads. Another is a retro Avon necklace with caged coral. And the last is a Kendra Scott Kellie Long chain with bezel set turquoise stones.
