More Alterations

I’m getting better at manifesting my wardrobe wants. I’ve had this vision of a midi to maxi-length funnel neck dress with long side slits That I could wear over trousers for a couple of years ago. This type of frock keeps showing up on my Pinterest algorithms, but I could never find one for sale.

So I took matters into my own hands and altered this Joe Fresh dress. I took it to the dry cleaners to make the chop, but if you had a serger at home, this would be a super easy do over. I had them open up the seams to about mid-rib so that I could access pockets on even my most high-waisted pants.

I’m plenty pleased with this repurposed dress. It was definitely the right proportion and will surely become a cool weather staple. Let no garment go uncustomized!
