Yard Stock

This weekend I went to a bunch of community yard sales. While I’m currently in the middle of a destash, I did pick up a few trinkets. The elephant keychain and religious necklace were purchased to use as parts for upcycling projects (see below).

The best find was a pair of oversized “Sourcilla” sunglasses by Parisienne optician Pierre Marly. I have misplaced my prescription sunglasses and my optometrist has informed me that I have a Blond Fundas and should avoid exposing my eyes to UV light. These babies fit over my regular glasses.

Unfortunately, I googled this design and found that they go for a pretty penny on the resale market. I must resist the temptation to sell.

Day two of yard sales brought these treasures— two books on folk art and a “Made In Germany” cut paper silhouette. The needlepoint owl is something I found on the sidewalk in the evening after a yard sale.

I also bought this linen/cotton tunic and an insane head band by Manitoba-based brand Hello Darling. Even when shopping second hand, I like to support Canadian talent.
