Scary Stuff

Halloween is my favourite holiday. Nothing is better than costumes and candy. If I could, I’d celebrate everyday of the year. And even though I’ve got two tickle trunks full of get ups, that hasn’t stopped me from getting even more gear.

There was a yard sale up the street this morning with basically lawn full of Party City quality costumes, most still in their packaging and all priced at $2. I bought the fake muscles.

I’m also obsessed with the simplest of all costumes, the sheet ghost. My fixation stems from me telling my mom that I wanted to be a sheet ghost and she said no head coverings because they impaired your vision. I bought this one from Flying Tiger. The fabric is shimmery and has just enough weight to it that it drapes well while still being floaty. And mom is right: I can’t see a thing through it.

If you have gothic tendencies, now is the time to stock up on fashion and decor items. I added this embroidered snek (also from Flying Tiger) to my collection of creepy cushions.
I bought the chenille Black Cat pillow from Flying Tiger’s American equivalent Five Below. I’m staying clear of that government at the moment. But I made a collage of what I would have bought if I was okay with the USA.

Also, making collages is fun.
