Modnesday: Orange Pop
I may not have been posting about Spring Summer 2011 New York Fashion Week Shows, but I have been following it. And inspired by the orange at Marc Jacobs, I thought I’d share two recent mid-century finds.
First, the Peter Max–inspired pot metal and plastic ballerina pendant pictured above. The plastic looks like stained glass. If it were enamel, the technique would be called plique-a-jour. But it is plastic and day-glo, so I’m calling it crazy.
Next, is a Hans Bolling–style teak viking guy (pictured below). I am newly aware of these Made in Denmark wooden toys because of the upcoming October issue of Covet Garden.
