Symbolism: The Oak and the Acorn

I mentioned Kate Middleton’s oak and acorn earrings last Friday. I thought I’d share my pretty sterling repoussé oak and acorn brooch. The oak and the acorn symbolize strength and power. My guess is that this brooch dates from the 40s.
