I Rode the Rocket

I finally got to ride on the new TTC subway train. I was so excited that I started taking pictures like paparazzi at a movie premiere. I was not alone in my public transit nerdery. As the train pulled into the station, two high school girls started screaming “Oh my god, it’s the Rocket!”

Anyway, I loved it. On the outside it looks so sleek and modern. On the inside, the design is so clean and spacious — much less claustrophobic that the old cars. And the subway map lights up, with orange lights signifying the stations in your past, and a blinking green light signifying the approaching station of your future.
