Midweek Modness: Pewter Rune Tennesmed Moose Pendant and Earrings
Pewter was a favorite material of the mid-century craftsperson. And why not? It doesn’t tarnish, it’s inexpensive and it’s easy to work with. Scandinavian countries also had a long tradition of working with this metal.
Swedish metal worker Rune Tennesmed started producing pewter jewelry designs in 1952. His designs frequently feature abstracted images culled from nature, such as owls, flowers, little Vikings and (like the moose pictured above) animals.
