My Summer Vacation: Escape to New York Part 2
You didn’t think I went to New York City without doing a little shopping? Unfortunately, we were there in an awkward, in between fashion cycle. The exciting events: Fashion Week, The new Marimekko Boutique opening, the last Jil Sander collaboration with Uniqlo, etc. all happen in September.
On the plus side, I was able to pick up four of Uniqlo’s spring designer collaboration shirts for a song. Uniqlo is a Japanese chain and I love their simple, inexpensive casual clothes. Therefore I alsways make a pilgrammage to their SoHo shop. Here’s what I got (clockwise from top right): Vena Cava, Theater Products, Charlotte Ronson and Cacharel. I also bought a pair of slouchy pants at Old Navy. They ripped in the knee the second time I wore them.
