Midweek Modness: Mannish Watches

I’ve switched out the straps on a few of my favourite watches so that they look a little more butch, as per the women wearing men’s watches trend (note: this trend is not new, but it doesn’t seem to be going away either). I’ve attached my 1940s Zenith (what they call a boy’s size) to a mod wristband strap. And I’ve outfitted my early 1970s Girard-Perregaux Chronometer HF Gyromatic (an actual men’s watch) with a chunky stainless steel bracelet.

The G-P has definitely been my go-to watch since I made the switch. I had retired the Zenith for the summer as it was starting to fog up on super humid days. Now that the temperature is dropping, I’ll be bringing it back.

I seem to have reached a plateau in my watch collecting. To make my old watches new and exciting, new straps is where it’s at!
