Okay, this is officially the last of the Italy-based posts. These are some Pastille Leone candies I bought for my nieces at Caffé Poliziano in Montepulciano. The caffé dates from the 1860s and has an art nouveau vibe and a spectacular view of the Chiana Valley. Leone dates from the 1850s and their packaging also has an art nouveau feel.
They filmed scenes from Twilight: New Moon at the caffé. Which is why I bought the candies for the nieces — this tin has breathed the same air as Robert Pattison.
