Halloween Countdown: Festival Masks

Here’s a creepy antique carnival or Oddfellows ceremonial mask that I snapped at the last Brickworks Flea. I’m thinking that something like this would be really easy to make — just get some fine wire mesh (like screen door netting), shape it to fit over your face, attach it to a frame (you could probably just get a strip of flat aluminium and fold it around the edges), and then paint on some eyes, lips and rough up those cheeks. And voilà! Instant nightmare!
