Find of the Month: Elsa Peretti Pearls By The Yard Bracelet
Generally, anything signed Tiffany that you find in a second hand store is going to be fake. Most counterfeits are super easy to spot — they are tarnished, thevfontnand kerning on the signatures are just a little off and the links and things aren’t soldered properly.
Still, people (being people) manage to convince themselves that they have struck gold at the thrift shop. I’ve picked up many very bad knock offs and still have heard the little voice in my head telling me that the copper showing through the silver plate might be from some ultra rare, limited edition type thing.
That being said, I’M CONVINCED THIS BRACELET IS THE REAL DEAL!
I bought a bag of broken jewellery at the Salvation Army because I saw a the Peritti/T &Co signature. As a Peretti-phile, it looked right. The pearls are also too nice for a knock off. And the construction and hardware matches the model for sale on Tiffany.com
Eventually curiosity will force me to go to Tiffany for some kind of verification, but for now, I am satisfied.
