Freebie Friday: Hangers and Frames
My down-sizing drive keeps soldiering on. Last Friday, I went to sell some non-vintage clothes and jewellery at Kind Exchange near Queen & John. On the way back, I noticed that the Quicksilver store had a bunch of boxes stacked outside on the sidewalk, all marked “Free.” These boxes were filled with sturdy wooden hangers.
I love wooden hangers. It doesn’t matter if they all came from the same source, their wooden-ness gives them a uniform look, which in turn makes my house look a little more organized. I scooped up as many as I could fit into my purse (sadly not enough). I did go back the next day, but they were all gone. In other lucky find news, Mr. Andrew found $40 that same day.
On Monday, Mr. A and I went for a stroll through Trinity Bellwoods Park. A yard sale was wrapping up on Crawford. I inquired about two picture frames and the woman holding the sale just gave them to me gratis. I used them to frame the Mike Ormsby paintings I got at the One Of A Kind Show and Sale.
