Thrift Finds: Wounded Kosta Boda and Frog Pot
I hit the Value Village last week. I was super excited when I spotted this Kosta Boda Zoo Series creature on the shelf. I was so excited that I tricked myself into thinking that it was a hitherto unknown gazelle and not a ram with a broken horn. Oh well, it will still sit pretty with my Reidel Lion on the window sill.
I also found this pretty drip glazed pot with a cute ’lil froggy sitting on the lip. I am still in research mode with this one. On Wednesday we’re doing a shot with a ceramicist who might have some more info for me. At the moment, though, I’ve got nothing. Maybe its majolica. Maybe it’s Chinese or Japanese (it is not as heavy as American pottery of the same size). Maybe it’s nothing. I just like it. Because frog.
