I’m always thinking about simplifying my life and coming up with a signature style. But as part of my downsizing efforts, I already have many fashion signatures. I tend to favour blue colours. I prefer my legs hemmed high. And I have an affinty for white shoes. It all started back in the 1990s, when I bought a pair of white Chelsea boots for $19 at Browns. I also love clogs and Birkenstocks because I am too lazy to lace shoes up. So I was super happy to find a nice pair of white, designed in Sweden, clogs at the Value Village last week.
And I picked up a pair of lightly used Birkenstocks at the Cabbagetown Festival. Both are very Man Repeller.
Here’s a look at how I put the ol’ white shoe look together. This was the ensemble I wore to dinner and a gala at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. Creepers, a black jumpsuit and a white tuxedo jacket.
