Thrifties

Went on a bit of a Thrifting spree over the last week. Here’s an account of all the things I bought, starting with this vintage Japanese Kokeshi Doll. I have to do a lot more research but I’m assuming this one is from the 1960s or ‘70s.

The doll is part of a haul I got at the Value Village in Kitchener. So is this pumpkin-toned pullover. I have been lacking such a sweater in my wardrobe because (although I love the look) I always feel like I’m being strangled.

I also strongly believe that that turtleneck would look amazing worn over top of this embroidered kaftan pictured above.

These blue Birkenstocks were hard to resist.

And I made this Isis necklace out of scrap for her resale business.

I went to a different store a few days A red @bluejays jersey.

Some Fila workout pants with a black side seam stripe that reminded me of the outfit Ron Mael wore onstage when we went to see Sparks at the Hollywood bowl.

A fun monogrammed handbag.

1960s Italian Movie Star cat eye sunglasses (I fixed the broken arm but still need to replace the rhinestones.

Grey suede shell toe Adidas Superstars.
