Adler Appreciation Post

Long time Jonathan Adler fan here. So when I heard that the potter and designer was doing a collaboration with the craft store chains Michael’s, I knew I would want a piece of the affordable action. Because I am on a budget, I set out to get a ceramic vase or wooden wall art, but then I spied this velvety beaded bug pillow and had to bring it home.

(Don’t worry, I did get this “Faces” plywood plaque. Because these pieces are a collab with a craft store, I believe that one is supposed to decorate this piece, but I prefer it plain.)

The thing I like about collaborations is that they make work by fancy designers attainable. These toilet bowl covers were part of a promotion with Cottonelle in 3011 (I think), all you had to do was send in a proof of purchase and money to cover shipping and these very graphic plastic containers were yours for free! I still use mine to discreetly hide the TP.

Thrifting is another way to attain affordable Adler. I bought the Ceramic Eve Hand” at a garage sale. And the single black fish pepper shaker was a thrift shop find.
