My Oldest Bijou: Georgian Pearl and Paste Ring

I am by no means an accredited antique jewellery appraiser, but my research leads me to believe that the ring pictured above is from the late Georgian (1714 and 1830) or Regency period. Two hundred years ago, jewellery was generally characterized by high-relief, repoussé metal work with floral and scroll motifs. Other indicators are the table-cut paste emerald, the halved pearl cluster, the closed back setting and the Etruscan-influenced granulation underneath.

One of these days I should get these things checked out by an expert. If anyone out there is a real appraiser and wants to come over and check out my jewels, please feel free.
