Faux Barbie vs. Faux Elzac

I found a tribal mask brooch (above, bottom right) at the Value Village in Kitchener. It reminded me of pieces made by a company called Elzac of Hollywood in the 1940s (above , top right). The company was founded in 1941 by Eliot Handler and a partner named Zack Zemby. Eliot was married to Ruth Handler, who introduced Barbie (above, top left) to the world. And last weekend, at the same time and in the same store I bought this faux Elzac brooch, I also found a Barbie doll clone (above, bottom left).

Improbability sum is now complete.
