Mystery Jewel: Vintage Blue Glass Cross Pendant
I found this pendant at the Value Village on Friday. It was so bright and shiny that I picked it up immediately. Then I spent a lot of time hemming and hawing about buying it. Its a solid, heavy and well made piece and my instinct suggests that it dates from 1930 to 1940, but I’m not 100% certain. Do you know how old it is and maybe even who made it? Still, at $9, not knowing made it feel like a shaky kind of risky purchase. I’m also uncomfortable wearing religious iconography. But in the end it’s sparkle won the day and now it belongs to me!

Sometimes you can tell the age of a piece of jewelry by the back of the item…..take a picture of the back and maybe I will be able to tell you
Oh I so would have picked that up too even though I feel the same way about crosses – but the shiny bling factor would have attracted me too. I think it’s beautiful, a real gem of a find.
