In the Pink: Finds From The St. Lawrence Market
Here are three more lucky two dollar finds from the St. Lawrence Antique Market. Above is a retro Aurora Borealis rhinestone brooch. It was missing two navettes, which I replaced with pink versions harvested from a broken earring.
An enormous pot metal enamelled parrot pin from the 1930s or ’40s.
And a pair of contemporary, artisan-made rutilated quartz and pearl earrings.
If you haven’t already discovered this you might be interested to know that the pot metal bird brooch shows up a lot in different forms and colours. Sometimes even as a duette brooch. http://www.rubylane.com/item/494684-sb1948/CORO-BIrd-Duette-Vintage-1940s
P.S. I love perusing your blog. I just found it this year so now I’m reading your older posts!
