Junction Flea Recap
Okay I lied when I said I wasn’t going to talk about the Junction Flea anymore, but it was such an awesome day and — for a first-time seller like me — a great learning experience. It was amazing to have so many friends come by and say hi and I’m happy to say that while I didn’t make my sales goals (turns out that only one person could muster the energy to try on a wool Céline jacket in the 30° heat), I did make a bit of profit.
I’m also pleased to announce that, thanks to the stern and reproachful eye of the Sea Captain (pictured at the top of this post), I only bought one thing (more about that tomorrow). At the end of the day, I did take a stroll around the grounds to take pictures of other people’s stuff so you could get an idea of the cool collection of vendors that were representing.
Also, had to share this bargain bin. I love a good $5 table. They have the most magical things!
Thanks to Mr. Andrew for helping me out today. And thanks to Heather Marchand and Kalpna Patel for providing pre-show advice (bring water, bring snacks, bring business cards, bring a book for a mailing list, bring a lot of stuff to sell). The biggest lesson that I learned on the day was this: if you’re going to be out in the sun all day, bring a chair.
