What I Wore to the Wedding

Our friends Holly and Guy got married this weekend and I was in a bit of a tizz about what to wear. Yes I justified buying that dress at Topshop last spring by saying that it would become my all-purpose party gown, but it doesn’t work with my short hair. (P.S. does anybody want to buy a floral maxi dress from Topshop?)

So I got a maxi skirt (like the one pictured below, buy grey) and an embroidered sleeveless chemise from the Gap Outlet at the Dufferin Mall (pictured below) and some super sparkly knock-off Tom’s from Ardene (pictured above). I don’t have any pictures, and I can’t say it was a total success because the skirt, while only $14, was also two sizes too small and I didn’t have time to let it out.

The best part was that Holly and Guy gifted all attendees with a handmade, sparkly heart brooch. I am going to pin it to the sleeve of my jacket as soon as it’s cool enough to wear sleeves again.
