Find of the Month: Rochas and Céline
I am not trying to find clothes, but sometimes designer stuff just screams out from the racks of the Value Village, begging to be brought home. Like the Rochas Paris pullover that I found at the Salvation Army (it was a sale day so it only cost like $1). Or this crazy Céline logo sweater that I discovered at the Value Village. I find an inordinate amount of Céline stuff at thrift shops in Toronto. I don’t think that the folks in the back rooms are familiar with these labels.
The Celine sweater is so cool! I see heaps of Celine here, but not yet in the thrift shop – rather, the latest bag on the arm of some well-heeled French lady!
Celine is the number 1 luxury thing I find here — I guess it doesn’t have the same brand awareness. I used to find vintage Lanvin a lot, too. And Liberty scarves galore!
