Souvenir Beaded Fringe Necklace
Every summer when I was a youth in the 1970s, our family would go on some sort of road trip. And every souvenir shop along the way would have these medallion necklaces for sale. I may have even used my allowance to buy one, but I probably destroyed it by getting it caught in something (as a child, I couldn’t have nice things because I was always losing or destroying them — if my mother ever wanted something to “disappear,” she would give it to me to play with).
I am also a longtime fan of beadwork and even used to loom my own story belts back in my days as an artist. So although this is a piece for the tourist trade, I was super happy to find it — and wear it!
