Midweek Modness: Made in Finland
In drawn out attempts at downsizing, I have recently come under the influence of Japanese purge queen Marie Kondo. Her theories of tidiness are delightful, but the central pillar of Kondo’s philosophy is to keep only items that “spark joy” in their owner.
Here’s a brutalist bronze pendant that I recently parted ways with. I was very sorry to see it go, but i felt sort of guilty for keeping it when I never wore it. I was interested in it because it was marked only “Made In Finland” so I had fun for a while just trying to figure out who made it. After failing to identify its maker, it just sort of sat around.
I hope that it will spark joy in its new home!
