Vintage Clothing Show Haul

hecho en mexico faux turquoise feather cuff

I went to the Vintage Clothing Show and Sale with $30 in my pocket and a lot of optimism. Normally these shows are out of my price range, but there are always a few things that fall through the cracks. Case in point: There was a vendor who specialized in vintage shoes and purses, but she had a little tray filled with tangled up jewellery. I bought the Made in Mexico dyed onyx and Alpaca silver cuff bracelet above and the hammered copper fringe pendant (I added the bead chain) pictured below for $25. Not the greatest deal in the history of thrifting, but both pieces have already drawn a lot of comments. I am happy.

AVH Denmark silver twist bangle

This year, the Vintage Clothing Show also had an Antiques Market component. One of those vendors had a shelf of bins filled with $5 bags filled with miscellaneous things. I bought one that was filled with jewellery, of course. My bag contained this silver twist bangle, signed Denmark 950S AVH. It also contained the pair of Victorian gold-filled Maltese Cross earrings pictured below.

Am I wearing all these things now? Of course I am!

The show was also fun because I got to chat with dealer friends like Eric from Lucky Patina, Samantha from Samantha Howard Vintage, Marla from the Ian Drummond Collection.
