AGO au Go Go
So very busy with deadlines this week. Which is why I am so grateful that we had a chance to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario this past weekend with Mr. Andrew and our friends Samantha and Tony. Looking at art recharges my creative batteries. Visuals are a great palette cleanser when one spends long hours working with words. And hanging out with friends is fantastic when one gets too caught up in their head. I thank them all for putting up with my babbling!
I was especially keen to see the Rita Letendre: Fire and Light show (pictured up top). I have only recently begun to “get” abstract expressionism partially because of the size and awkward tensions in her work.
Speaking of Canadian art, I was also happy to revisit works by Norval Morisseau (above) and Jack Chambers (below).
Speaking of collections, here’s a snap from my own, very messy salon, including my own Morriseau print (pictured far left).
