Comb Over
Found this cool comb at the Value Village last Wednesday. This is an African (or African-style) comb, possibly from Ghana. I have another one, but it’s hard to say with 100 percent certainty when you get something at the Value Village and not directly from the artist.
In Ghana, these combs were made by men for women to commemorate special events, such as puberty celebrations, weddings, or births.
Here are a few other purchases from my midweek madness. Pictured above is a woven tote from Portugal plus a crazy convertible plush toy from the Dollarama that turns into either an elephant or tiger, topsy turvey style (I am obsessed with transformation).
can’t come at halloween- not an australian tradition- although i love how you embrace it so whole heartedly – and see your interest in transformation
